We have friends that love to go with us to do whatever, and it was her birthday. So we headed out one Saturday morning towards Liberty Hill...with a few stops going and coming.
First stop was Sweet Lemon for breakfast in Georgetown. It did not disappoint. Such a cute house and there are options to eat on the lawn or inside.
There's a cookie like no other that we love at the Whipped Bakery in Leander, so we trekked over there to get a few of these delicious treats for later. If you haven't tried one, you must!
On to Liberty Hill...just northwest of Austin. We happened to see a market with tents, so we stopped there and browsed (it was already hot outside!) and my friend got the cutest rug ever for her kitchen - all hand made.
Right by the market was a sculpture garden with huge stone creations. We took a quick walk through those and headed down the road to view another very different sculpture garden...I'd say it was rather creepy! But we love an adventure. It's called Terry's Tunes at 608 S Gabriel Road! It's worth a drive by on a hot afternoon!
Next stop was Main St Marketplace, the cutest shop for men and women, in downtown Liberty Hill. There's a great sale room in the back, and a man's garage, and lots of cute clothes and accessories...all in an old white house that's been brought back to life so beautifully! (photo at top)
By now, we had worked off that breakfast and were hungry for lunch. We opted for Jardin Cordona on Hwy 29...the most delicious Tex-Mex...and pretty interior. We loved our food!
This was late afternoon by now on a hot summer day and our plan had been to visit Berry Springs Park or Wolfe Ranch shopping center, both fun stops...and eat our cookies. However, we opted for heading to our house to sit out back while the sun set...and come inside for cookies and lemonade and watch a show.
The day had been full, we had laughed and seen, and shopped and eaten...and had so much fun just down the road...
