Rock Painting

Writer's picture: Marcy LytleMarcy Lytle

I had seen a pretty picture on line of some painted garden rocks. I showed him, and we decided we'd get some and add them to our garden!

First, we walked a trail and found the rocks...just kicked them out of the ground...took them home to wash. We tried to find ones with one flat side.

Second, we looked together at Target and found acrylic paints, brushes, ModPodge, and markers. Or you can order these online. Make sure they're for outdoor use.

Thirdly, the painting began...it lasted for days because coats had to dry. But it was great fun sitting outside and creating art in bright colors while the cool breezes blew...

Finally, they were done and place and enjoyed - we love them!
